I am running Ubuntu at the moment.  I have been able to run WMP files
in the past on Ubuntu, however now I get the "suitable codec" dialog
with a search button which, when you click it, gives you another
dialog which says you would need to install the gstreamer plug in
which is illegal in the US.  A bit of a sticky wicket.

However, it also says there is a plug-in to use with Firefox, they
give this URL:

http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx

So strictly speaking, they aren't saying IE is required, they are just
suggesting you could save yourself a hassle by using it in preference
to some other browser.  I don't recall seeing a mention of this link
in previous posts.  Perhaps it was just added today.
