I recently got a BB pearl 8120. I managed to download the new google sync software for BB and when I try to connect to my gmail account it says the network is unreachable. I don't carry the blackberry service, nor any data plan on my phone, but I have it set up via my wifi at home which the phone connects to fine (as with downloading the google sync program). I've seen conflicting reports on forums that no matter what, I won't be able to use google sync without a blackberry plan (or other plan?) and some info basically saying it will work. Any ideas helpful.
