I use "standard" formatting (my standard, which I have set up) for everything.  
I'm focused on content.  Formatting options thrown in my face just get in the 
way.  But then I'm actually trying to transfer actual information to an 
"audience."  That doesn't happen very much any more, I think.

I use the same formatting all the time to write letters, minutes, reports, . . 
.  I don't need a lot of options "at my fingertips."

I'm always suspicious of someone else's document that has "too much formatting."
