We only had money in the budget for one station.

I've reworked where I'm putting the station; was perpendicular to the transfer 
unit, & now is adjacent.  This will solve the problem.  Thanks.

work well for capturing as we've never used one. The problem is that
you really need the deck close by to capture, not across the room - I
mean, who wants to have to get up and run across the room to change
tapes or just see what the deck is doing?

Any reason you can't just use the one station for capturing, then move
the hard drive to the editor? Or just get a cheap second deck to use
at the second workstation?
