Okay, so you can tell the different advantages and costs between, say PATA, SATA and SAS, right? You know, for example, which max-out at 7,200 RPM and which go to 15K RPM, and you know the cost differences as well. Same with power supplies and so on, right? You can compare configurations by component? Your initial post sure read as if you could not: "... thinks intel makes special really super duper cheap CPU's... Apple ram ... wish I had one of those apple hard drives" - no real specs to share to make your point, just sarcastic cheap shots?
Thank you, Mark Snyder -----Original Message----- Probably right...I'm only sitting at the ninth or tenth version of my current whitebox I built from ground up. Not to mention the one I have behind the tv. Or the macs from years ago I took apart and put back together.. Best Buy? Nah, I usually stick to the wholesaler downtown or Fry's electronics. ************************************************************************* ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *************************************************************************
