I call 2-5% statistically insignificant.  

So, you can get a new motherboard and 1 GB of RAM for $12?  You certainly
aren't going to be able to put your DDR3 RAM in your DDR2 motherboard.  And
you can upgrade your Mac with all that?  Oh right, you can't do that with a
Mac.

I'm going to have to invoke the "malice or incompetence" rule for such a
misleading summary of the linked article.  I can't tell if you're being
deliberately dishonest or obtuse; nothing new, sadly.

Yes, it is a collection of parts and it's clear from this article that all
the *other* components: video chipset, CPU and hard drive, are responsible
for the bulk of the 21% increase in performance compared to the previous
model.  The DDR3 memory only merits a mention in stating the specs at the
beginning of the article.
