I just noticed this one. It looks like you are getting your MS news from AppleInsider, which is not necessarily a good thing. The policy AI is talking about is not new, has nothing to do with XP or Vista, and is not exclusive to HP as the article implies. Volume licensing customers and OEMs have routinely had downgrade rights to ANY previous version of Windows. The main reason for this is so that corporate IT does not have to support multiple versions until it decides to upgrade everyone to a new version. As for the bit about "Nobody is asking about Vista": as far as I can tell, you're just making that up.
