My point is that a net book's keyboard is too small for serious typing.
It is just barely better than the iPhone/iTouch's version. Not better
enough.
The same people who complained that the iBooks were too small [and don't
forget the eMate they hated] are lining up to buy the so-called netbooks
that are an inch or two smaller, but with much worse specs. I suspect
that most people who buy the netbooks get them because they're cheap,
not because of their ultimate utility.
I was sorely tempted to buy the eeePC on w00t last week when it was
$149.99 [plus $5 shipping], but then realized that the mobile phone that
I want does as much or more, has more memory, does video and still
photos, can print via bluetooth, and can make WiFi/VOIP phone calls. You
can use a bluetooth [rollup or other] keyboard with some.
Worst thing about netbooks is that they don't fit in my [cargo] pocket
or small shoulder bag or fanny pack. What's the point other than cheap?
