This is one of the reasons I don't really get this netbook thing. I
wouldn't want one. Of course I don't want an over priced phone either.
I see the iphone as nothing more then an over priced toy. I love my
Macs, but why would I buy one of those $600 things that you still need
a monitor and keyboard and mouse for when I can buy a $235 external
firewire hard drive and plug it into my iMac? It's basically the same
thing. I no longer own any stand alone monitors. Oh wait, I take that
back. I still have one with my PC that hasn't been used in years.
Anyway, I agree. Most Mac users go with what works. And what works
most often without having to restart. But this is an old argument and
I've lost my desire to get involved.

For most users it's not about ideaology, it's about what works.
You are describing Tom and Mac users in general
