It's not the gadget, it's the benefit. I was a late adopter for both PDAs and cell phones, but the learning was easy when the time came when I needed what they provided -- it was easy because I got an immediate benefit. Learning about Windows has always been a chore, the profit motive was a motivator, but not that strong a motivator.
