MS and Apple are ALREADY side by side in many locations, like MicroCenter, Fry's, and Beast Buy. It makes a difference for Apple to demonstrate their hardware personally, but people are already familiar with PCs, so what's the point of a Microsoft store? Virtually all stores that sell software are Microsoft stores, including the Apple stores.

What's the point--MS vs Apple? They're only rivals in the eyes of MS. To Apple, they're complementary [as well as thieves/plagiarizers]. Obviously MS has lots of money to waste when they should be using it on R&D and QA/QC.
