  Other than for necessities dictated by the workplace, and even in
that instance, I personally know of no one who had been using Macs for
a period of years who decided, for their personal use, to abandon the
Mac platform in favor of Windows.  I do know of plenty the other way.
As you point out, perhaps this is solely a matter of the sheer number
of Windows users versus Mac users, but I do not believe that to be the
full story.

 I have never heard of a seasoned Mac user move to Windows because
they got tired of and frustrated with the Mac OS.  Not so in the other
direction.

  Perhaps that is why MS, along with some partners I am sure, is
planning to enter into uncharted territory for them by opening up a
series of stores next to or close to Apple stores.
