Tech support is always handled these days via outsourcing. There's nothing wrong with that; they're very competent people. But it means filing a trouble ticket, not calling on the phone.
Now, when the site goes down due to suspension, not at all uncommon these days, it's nice to be able to get a higher up on the phone to get the site back online quickly. I interact with mine on their forums and had our site back up within 10 minutes of them getting into work. Speaking of which, have you discussed these issues at your host's forum? Any response?
