It's quite possible with windows, although up through XP it's not a built-in 
feature of the OS.  You need to install a utility to do it.  It's a virtual 
printer that prints to a .pdf file instead of to a physical printer.  
Unfortunately, when printing web pages, it does just that -- produces a replica 
of a print job.  URLs (links) in the web page being "printed" are not active in 
the .pdf file.  Better to simply save the web page as a .htm file.
