I hate Dashboard. It is not an improvement over OS9's Apple menu.
Seems almost useless to me. I guess it's an easy way to bring up the
calculator. I rarely use any Dashboard widgets though.
Actually, surfing around, I came across

to a clock app that looks promising. It'll even pass clicks through
it, so you can keep it on top and click whatever happens to be
underneath.
