Not nearly to the same degree as in the case with the Washington
Times. The NYT and the Washington Post quite often will "offend the
sensibilities" of the more politically liberal, but the Washington
Times only offends enthusiasts when it fails to go far enough to the
right. With the exception of editorialist Nat Hentoff, I do not
believe that the Washington Times EVER prints anything that could be
considered as to the left of far right. To wit, the Post and the NYT,
in near perfect concert with the Washington Times, have consistently
been beating the drums of war for over 9 years now, a position that
can hardly be considered as leftist. They all consistently carry
full-page advertisements from corporations deeply involved in the
military/industrial complex, ads that also beat the drums of war. The
WaPo and NYT Times leftists? I think not.

Now, let's look at The Nation magazine. I think that I, as well as
almost anyone else can say they are leftists, and proud of it. Any
proof there? Well, they never have any of those aforementioned ads in
their publication even though I am sure that they could use the huge
revenue such corporations could offer. However, The Nation is not
about to sell out. Kudos to them.

I think it best to read from all political sides and from various
nationalities, and that is what I do. What is the latest book on my
shelf? Glenn Beck's "Arguing with Idiots." And when I am done
perusing that a bit, I can use some Noam Chomsky for ballast.
