People who have a real free choice very rarely pick Windows.
Do I even want to respond to this? Your response is incorrect. Prefer means "tend to choose." Free choice or no free choice, most computer users tend to choose Windows as their operating system. That is patently true. Do I think that many of those folks could be better served by a different OS. Yes. What is a "real" free choice in this instance? Consumers may be brainwashed, but they still have a free choice. Perhaps you are saying that their being brainwashed may have resulted in not having a REAL free choice even though they actually do. As I have said a hundred times before, most people tell me that they use Windows because, and this is how they usually put it, "everybody else does." Translation? Because it is popular and they want to be part of the popular crowd, i.e., intended for the general public rather than specialists or intellectuals.
