Probably close enough. As a battery discharges the voltage it delivers will drop. So every device has to tolerate a lower voltage. The problem is that different devices will stop functioning at different points. You don't know what that voltage is for your camera (and nobody will tell you). In any event, if you start at a lower voltage you will get to the voltage at which the camera stops working sooner. You can compensate by getting a battery with a higher mAh rating. Long story to say that you will probably be okay.
