I use a simple and free program called PDFJoiner
(http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19904&vid=110771) on
my PPC Mac running 10.4.11. It works fine even though it was only
designed for 10.2. I've never tried it on a new OS or on an Intel based
Mac.
