Actually somebody in the Israeli government is playing games. The iPad uses the same chip set used in iPhones and many other brands of smart phones. The scoop is that the exclusive right to sell iPads in Israel belongs to a relative of a government minister. They want to sell them for top dollar and people bringing in iPads they bought in the US was spoiling their plans.
