One individual's opinion. I would suspect that the chipset mentioned is not the component that directly controls the amount of RF output power that can be delivered to the antenna. I think that there are any number of digital wireless devices that utilize the same wireless chipsets yet will exhibit widely varying levels of RF radiated power.
