Well I definitely missed it.  I read the INSTALL.linux in the root,
which pointed me at the INSTALL.linux in the subdirectory, but I never
found the README in the subdirectory :-(

Perhaps it would be good if the information there was also replicated on
the internet somewhere, so that idiots like me could be assisted by
google :-)

I'm still curious about whether there is value in having some way of
constructing these files without accessing the Logitech website - at
least in being able to instruct the device to record sequences from
other remotes, and assign them.
