Ouch. Sorry. =( The segfault isn't happy either - is it always doing that? I don't imagine you'll be able to fix this with concordance, unfortunately, though I would like to see a 'cat /proc/bus/usb/devices' and better understand why we can't see the device when it's in safemode...
