Did you load gmail-mode in your rc?
Sorry, I should have said, I have the following line in my
~/.conkerorrc/00common.js (the first file loaded):
user_pref("conkeror.load.page-modes/gmail", 1);
This was sufficient under xulrunner.
I get no errors at rc time.
