No and yes. The MacOS "open" command does have a way to pass arbitrary
command line arguments, but they don't seem to arrive through
Firefox. Only filenames and URLs get through, but they are handled via
url_remoting_fn.

To be absolutely clear, you can vary the value of url_remoting_fn, and the
passed url gets opened in the appropriate way?
