The problem you are seeing is an old one. Conkeror has a command-line
component that receives and handles the (possibly remoted) command-line.
XULRunner on OS X seems never to call this handler.
It looked like the following bugzilla report was about this issue:

However, when this issue was marked "resolved" by Mozilla, in the runup to
XULRunner 2.0, and the command-line remoting problem did not go away, we
were baffled to say the least.
