In Fukhian:

   worm - dub [dUp]

This was coined for

   Zamf dubaudi.
   zan-f dub-aud-i(r)
   end-LOC worm-only-PL.NOM
   Only worms at the end

This is after one proposed translation of 'Derevaun Seraun' in James
Joyce's 'Eveline, which is 'There is one end: maggots.' Probably it
means nothing but at the time I made Fukhian, I found the idea funny
to say this in two words.

Or does 'Derevaun Seraun' mean anything? (After the last farce of the
whole list failing to recognise a song text as Farsi, I am not
confident this can be solved, but this time, it's probably gibberish
anyway. :P)

In the meantime, I made Qthyn|gai, where it would be only one word, if
the lexicon had enough stems: :-)

I think I had one word in mind but never wrote it down:

insect - xacdub [XaSdUp] (xac- 'fly-' + dub 'worm')

Of course, there are insects that don't fly, so that could be the
reason why I did not lexicalise it like this. Anyway, I found the
construction neat. :-)

No other words, unfortunately.

**Henrik

I don't know whether anyone has noticed this web page
yet, so I apologize for redundancy if so.

http://www.insects.org/ced4/etymology.html

This page has a number of etymologies (or at least
languages) for butterfly, moth, and caterpillar.
