Karl,

Axis 1.4 is known to work on application servers that come with a more recent 
version of the SAAJ API (which is basically the case for all Java EE 5 
compliant servers because the SAAJ API is a dependency of the JAX-WS API). 
Therefore, it should work in your case as well.

So, I'm willing to merge this branch into trunk.  I'll look into doing that 
sometime this week.  In the meantime, please confirm that development is 
essentially complete for the moment.
