I'm working on a user interface for Connman and I've found that whenever I
register a counter using the Manager interface that the system logs   start
filling up with messages such as this:

Nov 10 19:59:33 antec connmand[401]: enp4s0 {RX} 5453 packets 3993018 bytes
Nov 10 19:59:33 antec connmand[401]: enp4s0 {TX} 5792 packets 1060010 bytes
Nov 10 19:59:33 antec connmand[401]: enp4s0 {newlink} index 2 address
00:1C:C0:27:B8:A1 mtu 1500
Nov 10 19:59:33 antec connmand[401]: enp4s0 {newlink} index 2 operstate  6 <UP>
Nov 10 19:59:33 antec connmand[401]: wlan0 {newlink} index 3 address
00:18:39:06:A4:54 mtu 1500
Nov 10 19:59:33 antec connmand[401]: wlan0 {newlink} index 3 operstate 2
<DOWN>

They seem to come in groups every time the counter updates.  The counter
itself works just fine.  I have two questions.

1) Is this the expected behavior when a counter is registered.

2) If yes is there anyway I can turn it off.

Thanks
Andrew Bibb
