We try to avoid having too many changes in on release. That helps when
we get bug reports, which says version X did work version x+1
not. Obviously, we could do this with git as well some distros and
also certain projects like LibreELEC like to have a release for
intergration. That means often we start to get bug reports and
feedback after we have a release.

Upstreams there is such testing done. One thing I take care is that we
do not break existing D-Bus API.

There are a few companies which are doing a great job working
upstream. Check the git history. Thanks BTW!

No problem. I wouldn't mind if there were more
contributers. Basically, doing every aspect of running open source
project in one person slows the progress considerable. But this is no
new news. Many open source project have the same problem.
