Yes, see the ChangeLog file for a summary.

Sure, please be aware that it might take a few iterations. So make sure
you get your FOSS approval not just for this version of the patch.

Hello,

I'm using connman version 1.35 with Yocto( sumo). I have a couple of
questions.

1) I have this annoying issue where the WiFi on my imx6 is not
authenticating. Is there any e any configuration that I need to set to
increase the timeout for authentication? I see this in dmesg:

wlan0: authenticate with c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca
wlan0: send auth to c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca (try 1/3)
wlan0: send auth to c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca (try 2/3)
wlan0: send auth to c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca (try 3/3)
wlan0: authentication with c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca timed out

2) If both Wired and Wireless are connected, I cannot ping the device with
the wired IP address. Again, Is there any configuration that I missed?

3) If the DHCP server fails to automatically assign the IP address, I would
like to assign an Alternative configuration to my wired interface. for this
do I need to manage this with the script or is there any configuration that
I can set?

I highly appreciate if someone can shed some light on this.

Thanks,
Chaitanya

Hi,
1) In general, assuming you are using wpa_supplicant, you can increase the
logging on wpa_supplicant to see what it is doing. I don't believe there is a
configuration for connman for auth timeouts. There might be for wpa_supplicant,
but it might also be per 802.11 spec.

2) What exactly is ping saying? Check the routing table on both sides.

3) Not sure what you can do here. You can also use the connman API to set the
configuration based on conditions, eg after some timeout of no IP address.

wired interface

Hello,

I'm using connman version 1.35 with Yocto( sumo). I have a couple of questions.

1) I have this annoying issue where the WiFi on my imx6 is not authenticating.
Is there any e any configuration that I need to set to increase the timeout for

wlan0: authenticate with c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca

wlan0: send auth to c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca (try 1/3)

wlan0: send auth to c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca (try 2/3)

wlan0: send auth to c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca (try 3/3)

wlan0: authentication with c8:d3:a3:59:68:ca timed out

2) If both Wired and Wireless are connected, I cannot ping the device with the
wired IP address. Again, Is there any configuration that I missed?

3) If the DHCP server fails to automatically assign the IP address, I would
like to assign an Alternative configuration to my wired interface. for this do
I need to manage this with the script or is there any configuration that I can
set?

I highly appreciate if someone can shed some light on this.

Consider to update ConnMan. 1.35 is over 2 years old.

This looks like a problem in the driver or firmware layer. Enable
wpa_supplicant logging.

Check the rp_filter settings.

ConnMan will automatically assign a IPv4LL address if DHCP fails.

Daniel

Hi,

Please don't do top postings.

If DHCP fails ConnMan falls back to IPv4LL but ConnMan will
periodically try to get a IP address via DHCP.

There is problem with your idea (besides the race condition) is that
you never know when to go back to DHCP. As soon ConnMan is told to use
a configured IP address, it stops the above machinery.

Thanks,
Daniel
