Job Title: Curatorial Assistant (Written text project)

Salary: £23,604 to £26,859 pro rata, inclusive of LondonAllowance
Hours: part-time 4 days per week for 1year

Duties & responsibilities
The purpose of this projectis to improve understanding of, access to, and care 
of the Petrie Museum ofEgyptian Archaeology’s collection of written texts upon 
papyrus andpottery/stone fragments (ostraca). By improving our understanding of 
thismaterial, promoting its relevance, and celebrating its significance we 
willdemonstrate the resilience of specialist museum collections such as this.
 
This is a 1-year post and the post holder will be partof a team, assisting with 
all aspects of museums work, collections care,documentation and administrative 
support relating to the DDF project Papyrusfor the People. The Curatorial 
Assistant will be based in the Petrie Museum ofEgyptian Archaeology. Excellent 
object handling skills required.
