Job Title: Curatorial Assistant (Written text project) Department: UCL Culture- Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, UCL Salary: £23,604 to £26,859 pro rata, inclusive of LondonAllowance Hours: part-time 4 days per week for 1year Grade: 5 Duties & responsibilities The purpose of this projectis to improve understanding of, access to, and care of the Petrie Museum ofEgyptian Archaeology’s collection of written texts upon papyrus andpottery/stone fragments (ostraca). By improving our understanding of thismaterial, promoting its relevance, and celebrating its significance we willdemonstrate the resilience of specialist museum collections such as this. This is a 1-year post and the post holder will be partof a team, assisting with all aspects of museums work, collections care,documentation and administrative support relating to the DDF project Papyrusfor the People.
