*How-to-Edit Wikipedia: FREE Workshop for Heritage Science, 28 September
2017, Cambridge*
Over the past decade, Wikipedia has become a valuable source of open
knowledge. Created and edited by volunteers, Wikipedia’s content is
reliant on accurate contributions from many different fields.
The National Heritage Science Forum and Wikimedia UK are working
together to increase public access to, and engagement with, heritage
science research. The Forum is planning a series of free workshops
around the UK, to give those from the heritage science community the
ability to add their knowledge to Wikipedia and develop the heritage
science content of the platform.
The first workshop in this series will be taking place on *28 September
2017, 2 – 4.30 pm *at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. Participants
will gain the skills and confidence to make contributions to Wikipedia
with the help of trainers from Wikimedia UK.
The workshop is aimed at beginners and follow-up resources will be
provided.
The event is FREE and OPEN to everyone - for more info and to register,
