Conservator Salary: £27,668 - £30,153 Date Closes: 28/01/2018 Ref Number: CC00339 Location: Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre Job Advert 7 months temporary/fixed term contract We are seeking a dynamic and qualified object conservator with experience of working in a busy conservation laboratory to join the Wilshire Conservation and Museum Advisory service, based at the state of the art Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre. About the role As part of an innovative and forward looking Libraries, Heritage & Arts Service, you will carry out conservation treatments on a variety of objects including archaeology, social history and ceramics; write reports and give advice to clients such as museums, heritage organisations and individuals; engage with members of the public and community organisations; and assist in delivering other income generation activity. About you The successful candidate will be able to plan work streams; participate as a member of multi-disciplinary team; have good customer care skills; and enthuse a wide range of audiences to participate in heritage - related activities. Some occasional weekend and evening working is required and a full driving licence is desirable.
