Andrew W. Mellon Postgraduate Fellowship in Furniture and Woodwork Conservation Application Deadline: March 1, 2018 How You Will Contribute: The Philadelphia Museum of Art is looking to fill a two-year Andrew W. Mellon Postgraduate Fellowship in Furniture and Woodwork Conservation, beginning September 1, 2018 and ending August 31, 2020. Working as part of the Furniture and Woodwork team, the Fellowship will include technical examination, treatment, research, and preservation activities on European, American, and Asian furniture and architectural woodwork in the Museum's collections. The position includes benefits and travel stipend for research. Specifically, you will: -Examine, conduct research, and perform treatment on furniture and architectural woodwork in the Museum collections -Participate in preservation activities throughout the Museum, including exhibitions and storage Your diverse background includes: -Degree or certification from a recognized conservation training program (or equivalent experience) Application Materials: -Resume -Statement of interest -Transcripts of graduate courses -Three examples of examination reports and treatment records with photographs (please include any published treatments or research) -Two letters of recommendation from conservation professionals familiar with candidate's work mailed directly to: Behrooz Salimnejad The Elaine S.
