ANDREW W. MELLON POSTGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP IN PAPER CONSERVATION

How You Will Contribute:
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is looking to fill a two year Andrew W. Mellon 
Postgraduate Fellowship in Paper Conservation, beginning September 1, 2018 and 
ending August 31, 2020. Working with the two staff paper conservators in the 
state-of-the art laboratory, the Fellowship will focus on conservation of 
European and American art on paper and include Indian paintings, East Asian 
scrolls and screens, as well as photographs. Position includes benefits and 
travel stipend for research.

Specifically You Will:
-Examine, conduct research, and perform treatment on works of art on paper in 
the Museum collections
-Participate in preservation activities throughout the Museum, including 
exhibitions and storage

Your Diverse Background:
- Degree or certification from a recognized conservation training program (or 
equivalent experience)

-Transcripts of graduate courses
-Three examples of examination reports and treatment records with photographs
