In Instance 32:7 Valerie Tomlinson asks for information about a black inlay material containing tin.
The inlay may original have been tin, which has now oxidised to a dark grey or black hydrous oxide, SnO2.Nh2O - this would explain your XRF signal. Unfortunately these hydrous oxides are often poorly crystallised so do not give a good X-ray diffraction pattern; however, it may be possible to identify it by its infra-red spectrum.
