June 8-17
Dragon Press Bindery, Wiltshire, UK

Book Camp offers four two-day classes on aspects of bookbinding and is designed
for anyone working in conservation or the various book arts fields who is keen
to learn more about binding techniques. Tuition will be given by the founders
in this purpose-built bindery in the Wiltshire countryside. Participants are
welcome to camp in the spacious grounds or stay in a local B&B.

The workshop programme:

Vellum Binding with Michael Burke
Edelpappband with Dieter Räder
Leather Facsimile Chemise with Philippa Räder
Library Style Binding with Dominic Riley

To encourage exchange of knowledge, skills and ideas, meals will be shared and
there will be informal presentations in the evenings, followed by time around
the camp fire. On the mid-point free day visits will be arranged to nearby
places of special interest. Fees include tuition, hand-outs and all materials
as well as meals. Camping is free of charge.
