ADVICE SOUGHT ON DIGITAL X-RAY (DR) SYSTEMS FOR PAINTINGS? The conservation department at the National Museum of Art, Norway is looking to renew its X-ray equipment for the examination of paintings. We are interested in purchasing a direct digital radiography system, using a line scan camera detector, instead of an indirect system employing phosphor plates. Recommendations of suppliers for complete DR systems (X-ray source, line scanner, movable framework and software as one package) and experience with such equipment would be greatly appreciated.
