45th Annual CAC Conference and Workshops Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Dalhousie University May 28 - June 1, 2019
The Canadian Association for Conservation is pleased to announce that our 45th Annual Conference will be held on the traditional ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaq people in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The conference will run May 30 to June 1, 2019 at Dalhousie University in the heart of downtown Halifax. This year we request presentations, posters and films on all aspects of conservation relating to but not restricted to, artifacts, works of art, natural history specimens, archival materials, monuments, and conservation science. Papers with connections to the local and surrounding areas of Nova Scotia are highly encouraged. Abstracts are due October 31, 2018. Abstracts can be submitted in French or English through our online abstract https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2019_CallForPapers_AppelaCommunications . Abstracts must have a maximum of 500 words, along with a bio of 200 words maximum per author. The Program Committee will not review incomplete abstract proposals. Please note that speakers are not compensated and must register for the conference (single day registration is available). Abstracts will be published in English and French as part of the conference proceedings; however, presentations can only be given in English.
