Hello

I wanted to ask if anybody has information regarding PLA and how it
deteriorates.

We recently were asked by a provider if they could 3D print the stand for a
coin out of PLA.

What I uderstood is that PLAs (Polyactic acid) tend to be advertised as
renewable, plant based, biodegradable alternative to petroleum based
plastics. Made from fermented plant starch, the plastic is said to be
“carbon neutral” and “non-toxic”. However I haven't been able to find any
information regarding their use for mountmaking and how they deteriorate
(despite them being designed to do just that!).

Thank you in advance for your help
