We experienced an extreme swing in RH in our otherwise well-controlled
temporary exhibition gallery last month. The problem coincided precisely with
an over-capacity day in which entrance was actually cut off at one point due to
fire regulations. I'm wondering if other institutions have policies or
procedures in place to cut off ticket sales/entries to galleries based on HVAC
capacity? Fire regulations are one thing, but if the environmental controls
can't cope with lesser numbers of visitors, I wonder if other institutions have
a cap on visitor numbers that is based on the limitations of the HVAC system?

Thanks,
