I am researching the use of gels and the removal of rust from textiles for my Masters thesis. So far research has offered some information about cellulosic substrates but less seems to be available about the chemistry of rust on wool substrates and there are fewer case studies that I have found. Have you undertaken any treatments? Or are you aware of any relevant papers?
