The Persian translation of the European Illustrated Glossary of Conservation
Terms for Wall Paintings and Architectural Surfaces, the so called EwaGlos, is
online.

EwaGlos is a richly illustrated glossary for conservators. You will find
English definitions with translations into Bulgarian, Croatian, French, German,
Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese, Russian,
Arabic and now Persian. It specialised in wall paintings and architectonic
surfaces because the terminology differs between the different fields of
materials. The concise texts and demonstrative illustrations are designed to
help readers quickly grasp and understand each term.

From 2013 – 2015 Ewaglos was developed by a consortium under the direction of
the Hornemann Institute - supported by associated partners and external experts
- in English and has been translated in eleven language. In the meantime,
further translations of colleagues from other countries are offered for free
download on the project website: <URL:http://www.ewaglos.eu/pages/download.php>

The Persian translation of EwaGlos is online now. Dr. Mehdi Razani and Fatemeh
Sehati M.Sc. from the Tabriz Islamic Art University (Iran) have translated the
English text into Persian.

For the case that anyone wants to translate EwaGlos as voluntary work, we
prepared a template that everybody can do it easily including an own foreword
and a list of the translators. If you are you interested, please do not
hesitate to contact us.
