Regarding the workshop “Inpainting & Loss Compensation on Paper Conservation” (in Barcelona, Spain, from 19-21st June 2019) there have been technical issues on the website. My appologies to any of those who came accross them and was redirected to unwanted pages. The issue has been fixed (but navigators need to be refreshed, otherwise whoever had had issues before might be seeing the older version). Here’s the link: http://ritaudina.com/en/conservation-courses/inpainting-loss-compensation-paper-conservation/ The course is a compendium of techniques realted to retouching and infilling on paper conseervation: mould casting for textures, stain removal with the use of powdered micro-cellulose, colour matching with hand-made paper pulp, dyes, tips and methods to adjust sheen and gloss... The workshop has practical and theoriteical sessions, which include a thorough information regarding the aformentioned techniques, as well as criteria, inpainting types (tratteggio, neutral colour..., light, metamerism, types of dyes and colorants, tools... The course seeks for an international audience, with a maximum of 10, to ensure a more enriching experience. Precisely those days in Barcelona there is the “Sant Joan” festivity (23rd June), all sorts of leisure activities take place, specially fireworks and fire on the beach, etc. It is one of the best moments to visit the Mediterranean coast!
