The conservation-restoration program of the University of Antwerp organizes the 14th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality in Heritage and Historic Environments. The conference will take place in the historical centre of Antwerp, Belgium. Join us on the 14th IAQ conference on the impact of indoor air quality on historic objects. A varied audience of heritage guardians, archaeologists, scientists and students will discuss challenging problems about environmental preservation conditions of heritage objects. This event is a unique occasion to exchange ideas by means of reflections and discussions. The conference is traditionally attended by a varied audience of heritage guardians, archaeologists, scientists, students and other stakeholders related to our precious heritage. Contributions on new trends in pollution monitoring, understanding the levels of risk to collections, material emissions, and building refurbishment as a mitigation action are welcome. Furthermore, we encourage contributions that discuss practical case studies in museums, archives or churches (e.g., decision making, implementation of mitigation actions, use of showcases, etc.). The call for abstract is now open. The abstract submission deadline is December 6, 2019.
