Marybeth,

We've been 3d printing the first version of our sensor enclosure, for our
environmental monitoring sensor, and we did quite a bit of research on what
materials would be appropriate for a collections environment. Happy to connect
you with our engineer Nathan who has all the knowledge.

Best,
Austin

Hi Marybeth,
If you haven't already, I would suggest Googling "rapid prototyping", "additive
manufacturing" and "plastics".. You will get zillions of hits, but that is
because you are then in the huge industry which makes products using 3D
printing processes every day, and not in the limited conservation literature. I
don't think that they would understand the word "stable" in the same way we do
in the conservation world (that is, the same time frame), but I think talking
to a few companies in your neighborhood would put you in the right direction.
Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio also does some work in this area.
Yours,
Bill
