Please note that a minimum of 6 participants is required for the workshop to proceed. The course is tentatively scheduled for June or early July, and we aim to set the dates to accommodate all interested participants. Course Description In today's ever-evolving landscape of collections care, effectively managing risks is crucial to the preservation, conservation, and care of collections, especially as resources become increasingly limited. This highly practical course consists of two half-day sessions and will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of a risk management framework and its implementation in practice to enhance collections care and the well-being of your team. Course Objectives In this course, you will: Learn how to implement a comprehensive risk management framework that supports your department's collections care strategy, planning, and fundraising initiatives Employ practical tools and techniques for risk analysis and evaluation through real-life scenarios, enabling you to make informed decisions and to prioritise effectively in collections care Assess organisational risks related to collection risks and connect them to your broader risk management strategy to provide a holistic perspective on collections care, enabling effective resource planning, strategic decision-making, and fundraising Employ a risk management framework to create a more structured work environment and alleviate stress and burnout in your team.
