Job posting: Invitation to Tender, Royal Merchant Navy Education Foundation

Tenders are invited for conservation work to five items in the RMNEF archive.
The RMNEF was founded in 1827 as the Merchant Seamen's Orphan Asylum, providing
board and education to British and Irish children whose fathers had perished
at sea.

The archive is held at the Royal Berkshire Archives in Reading Berkshire,
though the tender allows for work to be undertaken offsite within the UK.
Visits are welcome to inspect the items.

Tenders must be received by 30 November 2025. Please use either the attached
form or provide your own documentation that answers the tender questions.

Tenders and enquiries should be sent to Mark Stevens at the Royal Berkshire
Archives: [email protected] <[email protected]>. The
contract will be with the RMNEF.

·       You will be able to manage first aid and emergency situations.

·       You will be passionate about music and musical heritage.
