I had a thought that it would be good to host a sandbox registry
that people could login in via github & google SSO, push
something, share with a colleague. We would implement quota
control and prune images daily(?) to keep costs down.
But I'm wondering how this relates to the build pipeline. What is
the registry story there? Do we have plans to host a community
registry for the world? Is there budget? Would quotas help?
If we have plans for this, it's news to me.
Clearly we'll need to raise this somewhere we could actually get
budget for it, and it would be a strategic decision.
Obviously not going to happen this quarter, for that reason. So
we might want to go ahead with a plan for an ad-hoc registry which
we don't publish the login information to.
The CentOS Container pipeline has the ability to host this today.
There is an ongoing discussion happening in ADB about hosting Atomic
registry in it [1] .
